Happy February! If you’re in the northern part of the US, you probably are looking forward to warmer temperatures. The cold over this past week has been brutal. I’ve seen pictures of frozen toilet tanks, snow covering front doors, and so much more. I truly hope you all made it through without too much hassle.
I thought I’d be releasing Blue Ridge Mornings this month, but instead chose to bring a little cheer to our days. Toward the Rain is a fun and easy rug that is extra thick after felting. The sample was made for the new baby on the way so that it will have bright colors in its room.
It’s on sale for $1.50 until February 8 when you use the coupon code Rainbow50. It uses a strand of a felting yarn and one of a non-felting. I used KnitPicks Wool of the Andes (worsted) and Lion’s Brand Mandala. Yes, you read that right, I used an acrylic yarn for this. I love the durability it gives to rugs and when it’s been felted with something like WotA, it makes a lovely, squishy rug.
Have you checked out the vinyl stickers in the shop? I’m hoping to get more crafty ones listed soon, but I’m still working out some details on the designs. once I get some yarn-related designs made, the stickers will certainly be made. What colors would you like to see?
The next pattern will be released in March and will be a wonderful, multi-colored shawl that will be perfect for keeping off the chill of early spring.
