Well, it’s official – I’m a Nana! Tamara (Mara) is the most beautiful granddaughter I’ve seen so far. All went well through the delivery, Mama & Papa are over the moon (and more than a little tired), and everyone is home. Lyra (Brianna’s senior cat) already claimed Mara as family with gentle head-butts and her usual grunting sound that she makes when she approves of something.
Will there be an explosion of baby patterns now? No, there won’t. I might come up with a blanket or even a small sweater, but I don’t see myself making loads of patterns. Of course, that could very well change, but we’ll have to see.

In the meantime, the socks for August are almost ready. There have been a few tweaks with the pattern and my testers have really helped with this one. Coming up for September & October are a scarf and shawl. The scarf will be a simple, yet elegant design that will be great for early autumn and onward into winter. The shawl is a beaded design that is surprisingly simple. I can’t wait to share with you!
Coming soon to the shop are some lace skeins as well as a few gradient sets that would be wonderful for many of the “fading” patterns out there right now.
For the time being, I hope you’re all having a fantastic summer!
Congratulations! I am so happy for all of you.
